Born in 1976 in the Black Forest of Germany, Patricia Schwoerer begins her photographic process with an ambitious objective: "to capture the invisible and depict the void." Schwoerer's potent, intensely detailed still life images result from her keen ability to focus on what is otherwise so easy to overlook. This purist approach has seen the Paris based Schwoerer shoot for the industry's biggest names such as Givenchy, Saint Laurent Paris, Dior Homme, Maison Martin Margiela, Comme des Garçons, Cartier, Nike, Issey Miyake, Persol and Benetton. A regular contributor to Fantastic Man, Man About Town and Kilimanjaro Magazine, Schwoerer has also embarked her own personal photographic voyages to Norway, Greenland, Nepal and Bolivia and exhibited her work at Paris's Brachfeld Gallery.
